Tapping Tips Tuesday - Working with Physical Pain and Body Sensations

Please take a moment to feel your feet on the floor and bring your awareness to be in your space, connecting to the floor and the chair you are sitting in/the environment where you are standing.

What are you noticing in your body as you bring your awareness and connection to it?

Tension in your shoulders, neck or back? Tightness in your tummy or chest? Aches in your legs? Headache?

The founder of Emotional Freedom Techniques says: “Emotional and Physical Issues Are Linked. Thus, instead of addressing emotional issues head on and watching the related physical symptoms dwindle, we can do the reverse by aiming EFT at its related physical symptoms and then watch the underlying emotional issues fade.”

This gentle technique is a beautiful way to work with the physical symptoms and body sensations to have a direct effect on the underlying emotional issues. That said, once the intensity has reduced with the physical symptom's or body sensations and exploration of the problem and emotion is the next step.
